With the Genesis Framework you have an option in your Theme Settings to display a full post, or blog excerpts. You can find this setting under Genesis>Theme Settings.
On your Genesis Theme Settings Page, scroll down until you see the “Content Archives” area.
Check the “Include the Featured Image” box and then select the image size you would like to display. Your size options will depend on your theme. Click the “Save Settings” button at the top or bottom of your page.
What is A Featured Image
Your Featured Image is the image that shows up next to your blog excerpt on your blog page.
To set your Featured Image you’re going to click on “Set Featured Image” on your Post Editing Screen. Not sure what that is, or how to get there? See “How to Create A Blog Post” here.
Once you click on “Set Featured Image” a screen will pop up where you can see all of your images that you’ve uploaded, this is called your Media Library. You will also see a link at the top of that pop up that says “Upload Files.”
If you already have an image you would like to set as your featured image uploaded, just click on it and a check mark will appear on the image. Then click “Set Featured Image.” Save your blog post and you’re all set. If you do not already have an image uploaded, just click that “Upload Files” link, upload the image and follow the same instructions.
