Rounded Search Input Border in Safari and Mobile Devices
I realize this may not make a normal person’s skin crawl, but it’s the web equivalent of nails on a chalkboard to me. Please do yourself me a favor and add this little nugget to the stylesheet of whatever theme you are using (check to make sure it’s not already there, first):
input[type="search"] { border-radius: 0; -webkit-appearance: none !important; }
Did you hear that? It was the sound of me taking a deep sigh of contentment, as I hop off my soapbox. Thank you.
While writing this blog post I also struggled with the usage of “off of” or just “off” (see above sentence). Google says I’m correct, but I just do not know ? The struggle is real and has migrated from input boxes to grammar. Send help.
